About P3

Founded in 2019 by architect and civic leader Ozzie González, P3 Consulting helps organizations, public agencies, and project teams turn bold ideas into practical, lasting results.

Ozzie created P3 to bridge the gap between vision and implementation. He helps teams move from policy goals and planning sessions to real-world outcomes that improve communities. Drawing from 25 years in architecture, policymaking, sustainability, and organizational leadership, he brings a rare blend of analytical precision and creative imagination to every project. His technical background combined with artistic expression allows him to connect technical detail with human insight, helping groups find clarity and momentum in complex challenges.

That balance has been with him since childhood. Growing up near a recycling center, Ozzie began turning discarded materials into something of value. What others saw as trash, he saw as potential. That early experience shaped his lifelong fascination with transformation. He loves to explore how people, systems, and ideas can be reimagined to create value.

Ozzie’s career reflects that spirit of reinvention. He spent a decade with CH2M HILL (now Jacobs), where he helped global clients implement some of the world’s first large-scale sustainability initiatives. As director of diversity and sustainability for Howard S. Wright (now Balfour Beatty), he strengthened workforce inclusion and subcontractor diversity across major construction projects in the Pacific Northwest. He later served on the TriMet board of directors, advancing regional decarbonization strategies and equitable transit-oriented development. A connector by nature, he helped launch LatinoBuilt, advised the Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber and the Regional Arts and Culture Council, and worked with the Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs to expand opportunities for small and minority-owned firms.

Beyond his civic and professional roles, Ozzie is also an actor and performer, bringing storytelling and empathy into every space he leads. In 2020, he made history as Portland’s first Hispanic mayoral candidate, offering a visionary plan for sustainability, housing, and inclusive economic growth.

Whether he is working with city agencies to modernize workforce equity policies, coaching leaders through organizational change, or helping construction teams implement new sustainability standards, Ozzie’s work is guided by one goal: to help people see things in a completely new way and build the confidence to act on those insights.

help people see things in a completely new way and build the structure and confidence to act on those insights

A lifelong builder of
better systems

Ozzie González is an architect, educator, facilitator, and performing artist who brings creativity and empathy to every room he enters. He serves on Oregon’s Commission on Hispanic Affairs and continues to advise regional agencies and nonprofits on sustainability, workforce inclusion, and organizational change.

Fluent in English and Spanish, Ozzie connects across cultures and sectors, helping people find common ground, build trust, and move forward together.

Ozzie’s career began in architecture and environmental science, where he helped launch landmark sustainability initiatives for companies such as Intel, Dow Chemical, and CH2M HILL. His drive to connect environmental and social progress led him to broader systems work that shapes policy, workforce programs, and equity standards for organizations throughout the Pacific Northwest.

In 2020, Ozzie brought that experience to the public arena as Portland’s first Hispanic mayoral candidate, developing practical, forward-thinking policy frameworks for housing, transportation, and a sustainable local economy. That work deepened his understanding of how local government, business, and community systems can work together to build cities that are both resilient and inclusive.

Today, Ozzie partners with clients across public and private sectors to make that vision real, one project, one policy, and one team at a time.
